Founded in 1997, Nanak Foods has grown from modest beginnings into North America’s largest processor of traditional South Asian dairy-based foods. The company is wholly owned by Canadian shareholders of South Asian descent and specializes in the manufacturing of authentic, high-quality dairy products including paneer cheese, ghee (clarified butter), yogurt, and a wide range of dairy-based appetizers and desserts.
Nanak Foods supplies retail, foodservice, and private-label customers across North America and international markets. The company is currently exporting to Germany, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Mauritius, Japan, Australia, Trinidad, New Zealand, and Hong Kong, and continues to expand its global distribution network.
In addition to core dairy products, Nanak Foods offers an extensive portfolio of value-added appetizers and traditional desserts designed for both retail and foodservice channels. The appetizer range includes paneer-based snacks such as paneer pakoras, paneer bites, paneer tikka appetizers, and other vegetarian ready-to-cook or ready-to-heat products. The dessert portfolio features popular South Asian sweets including rasmalai, gulab jamun, rasgulla, kulfi (traditional frozen dairy dessert), and other milk-based delicacies.
Nanak Foods also serves the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) sector, including being a supplier of vegetarian burger patties to A&W Restaurants, demonstrating the company’s capability to develop and manufacture customized products for large-scale foodservice and restaurant chains.
Nanak Foods’ manufacturing facilities are CFIA, FDA, and EU approved, and operate under Safe Quality Food (SQF) Level 3 certification, ensuring rigorous standards for food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. With advanced automated production capabilities and a growing export footprint, Nanak Foods is actively seeking distribution partners, foodservice customers, and private-label opportunities across Europe and other international markets.
