Founded in 1958, Hampton Tedder Electric is a family owned and operated electrical contractor specializing in high voltage systems. For more than sixty years, we have provided comprehensive design, construction, maintenance, and testing services for overhead and underground. Our reputation has been built on safety, reliability, and technical excellence, making HTE a trusted partner to utilities, municipalities, and private system owners. Headquartered in Montclair, California, Hampton Tedder Electric has operated from the same facility for over sixty three years. Our nine acre headquarters is fully equipped with the tools, equipment, and materials required to construct complete high voltage systems. To better serve our clients, we now operate three offices and nine construction yards throughout California, Nevada, and Arizona, allowing us to respond quickly to projects and emergencies across the United States. Hampton Tedder Electric has successfully completed more than one billion dollars in high voltage projects. Our experience includes work for schools, hospitals, universities, utilities, municipalities, renewable energy facilities, and industrial clients. We maintain an exceptional safety record with an Experience Modification Rate of 0.58 and perform more than six thousand field safety inspections each year. Our mission is to be the safest high voltage contractor in the United States, and safety, compliance, and efficiency are the foundation of every project we perform. Our workforce is comprised of master journeymen, high voltage designers, linemen, cable splicers, civil operators, and test technicians. Each employee is provided with modern technology, tools, and equipment to safely design, build, maintain, and restore high voltage systems. Hampton Tedder Electric has logged more than ten million man hours on high voltage projects with very few incidents, reflecting our strong culture of continuous improvement and accountability. HTE’s managers and supervisors collectively bring more than five hundred years of high voltage field experience. Every IBEW certified supervisor and foreman is carefully selected to lead crews with professionalism, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to safety. Our teams are qualified to work on systems up to five hundred kilovolts and are certified to perform work for city, county, state, federal, and private agencies. Hampton Tedder Electric provides twenty four hour emergency response. We maintain more than five hundred pieces of heavy duty equipment and a ten million dollar inventory of high voltage materials ready for immediate installation, including power cable, transformers, switchgear, poles, hardware, conduit, and duct bank supplies.
