Lummus Technology offers its Zimpro® electro-oxidation technology that can destroy all types of PFAS. Its advanced material electrodes are made using solid state boron-doped diamond wafers manufactured by Element 6 (a subsidiary of the De Beers Company). Because these electrodes are free-standing crystals, the Zimpro electro-oxidation process can apply more than 30,000 amps/m2, which is two orders of magnitude more work compared to other electrodes. Zimpro electro-oxidation can be applied to applications where co-contaminants are at a concentration high enough to make other electro oxidation impractical.
