P. Mauriat was founded in 2003 by saxophone enthusiast Alex Hsieh. Licensed by the prestigeous French maestro and orchestra conductor Paul Mauriat, the brand honors the beauty of music and the legacy of artistic tradition.
The brand was born from Mr. Hsieh’s deep passion for the saxophone. He pursued his long-held dream at age 48, learning from scratch through a summer program at Berklee College of Music. Despite the significant age gap with his younger classmates, he faced every challenge with resilience and dedication, rewriting his life through courage and love for music.
Driven by his faith in Taiwanese craftsmanship, Mr. Hsieh set out to create a premium wind instrument brand that could represent Taiwan on the global stage. P. Mauriat’s vision is to revive the artistry of classic saxophones, blending traditional handcrafting with modern precision technology to create instruments that are rich, resonant, and aesthetically appealing.
