The Versatran Retriever was developed in 2002 by recognizing a specific need in the industrial equipment market for a simplified method to load/unload and transport various types of power and industrial equipment. This visionary design lead to development of an air-operated deck and ramp system that offers solid hauling capacity, minimal cycle times, low overall deck height and a system that operates without the truck engine running. By not running the chassis engine for operation, this design saves fuel, reduces chassis related emissions, and reduces chassis maintenance requirements while satisfying customer delivery requirements.
