Founded in 1939, General Parts distributes parts and provides service for over 60,000 customers and 400 manufacturers of commercial foodservice equipment. Corporate headquarters are located in Bloomington, Minnesota and with major branch operations strategically located in Arizona(3), Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana(2), Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota(2), Missouri(2), Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma(2), Oregon(2), Tennessee, Texas(2), Washington and Wisconsin(2), we are ideally positioned to provide quality service for over one third of the United States. General Parts rank in the top five of independent service companies nationally. Over the last 80 years, General Parts has grown to become one of the largest foodservice equipment support companies in the country. Our service department currently supports a field service force of over 200 technicians, providing service in all or part
of twenty seven states throughout the US. We offer a full range of services that includes installation, planned maintenance programs, water filtration and discretionary service on all types of commercial kitchen equipment. Each General Parts technician is required to meet CFESA standards and many hold a ‘Master Certification’ designation, the highest level of achievement. Additionally, our company has developed custom national service programs for select customers covering HVAC, cooking, refrigeration, beverage and ware washing equipment. We stand ready to meet the ever changing needs of our customers.Our technology and data collection methods allow us to track and analyze equipment service history and the associated operating costs. We are the leader in providing equipment life cycle cost information. This sets us apart from other service companies. This information is readily shared with our customers and is essential when they are making operating or equipment purchasing decisions. In 2002, General Parts was the first service agency in the United States to meet industry requirements and became CFESA’s first ‘Certified Company’. We continue to be viewed as the industry leader in providing innovative service programs for manufacturers and end users alike. We have invested heavily in service technology, state of the art test kitchens and technician training
centers and have set the standard for the commercial food equipment service industry. In 2013 our first national Parts Distribution center opened. This stand-alone facility will serve as both our central purchasing function as well as our warehouse for our ‘Direct to the Public’ web-store. We stock and distribute replacement parts for most major brands of commercial kitchen equipment, we demonstrate daily our ability to meet the needs of our local and national customers who prefer to do their own repairs. Our on hand inventory of $7 million is one of the largest in the United States.
